My experience with Napa Floor Company was HORRIFIC! If they were the last hardwood floor company in the Bay Area, I would rather skip hardwood floors and have neon yellow carpet with purple stripes installed.
I would not recommend Napa Floor Company to anyone. There are multiple areas of dark circular spots of stain on the hardwood floors, floor vents are bulging, some floor vents do not work, and an extremely light floor plank was installed in the living room in the middle of my dark hardwood floor. After the floors were installed, we noticed extensive dings and scrapes on the walls in almost every room. These walls had to be patched and painted. After Napa Floor Company sanded the hardwood floors, we had thick layers of dark brown dust on virtually all the flat surfaces and walls of the house. We were left to do a major clean up.

When we signed the contract for the hardwood floors, we were confident that the contract was clearly for a COMPLETED hardwood floor project. Once work started, we learned otherwise. Once the contract was signed, multiple special request and other work items began to surface. Napa Floor Company left huge gaps in the hardwood floors in multiple locations. ........ Oh I get it ....... if I don't want large gaps in my hardwood floor in the kitchen and stair landings that is a SPECIAL request. Who was supposed to cover the hardwood floor gaps with floor trim? Obviously, not the flooring company. I guess I should have known to add the location of EVERY piece of trim in the contract to avoid additional charges.

It was one charge after another. I wish that I had added something like........ All special requests and all other work shall be approved in WRITING AND SIGNED BY THE OWNERS prior to the work being started. This sentence might have saved us a lot of time and aggravation in dealing with this contractor.

The total on the contract for approximately 1,525 sq. feet of wood flooring was well over $24,000. This amount was by far not the lowest bid for our floor project. Regardless, Napa Floor Company sued for an ADDITIONAL $325 dollars. Really!!!! Was there not enough profit already? It seems to me that they do not care anything about customer service, return business or future referrals.

The floor stairs were also a huge problem. Even though the stairs were paid for promptly, it took a long time for NFC to install the stairs treads. The floor prep work was started in the beginning of June and the stair treads were not installed until late November. At one point, we gave up on ever seeing the stair treads and asked for a credit. Finally, we (the owners) had to install temporary wood stair treads.

This is a warning: DO NOT go to this counselor! You will leave with more problems than you started with. What is done in the darkness will be revealed in the light. Justice 101.

On June 04, 2012, I ate a light dinner at Schooner's Kitchen located in The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, with my friend, Linda English. I was on holiday for one week from Florida. I got food poisoning and spent the next morning at The Community Hospital 's emergency room. I spent my 1 weeks vacation sick because of the food I ate at this restaurant.

It is a great place to eat with the family and friends. I like their mexican food style.

My son had a great time while at ABC Preschool. I felt like they really loved him. They always kept me in touch with how his day went.

I saw Dr. Fjerstad for plantar fasciitis and the orthotics I got were great; they were so great I wanted to get more.

I called the office and asked them to see if my insurance would cover another pair; I got a call back right away and was told that my insurance would cover the cost of another pair. I told the receptionist that I wanted 2 pair and I would pay for one of them myself and made the appointment.

I showed up for my appointment and ordered the 2 pair of orthotics. While I was there Dr. Fjerstad said something about my insurance maybe not covering the visit and I told him that I verified it with his receptionist before I even made the appointment, he said if something happened he’d make me a deal. Since his receptionist verified with my insurance that it would be covered, I didn’t pay much attention.

When the orthotics arrived I went in to pick them up and paid $180.00 for the “extra” pair.

Eventually I got a bill for several hundred dollars so I called his billing office to tell them that there must be a mistake since the bill didn’t reflect the $180.00 I paid, and it showed a denial by my insurance company. I explained the chain of events to the billing rep, who was very helpful. She did some research and discovered that my insurance would not cover the additional orthotics. She then contacted Dr. Fjerstad’s office and relayed what I told her. The office waived all but the $180.00 for the second pair of orthotics; some “deal”.

Here’s the short version. His receptionist lied to me about my insurance covering the visit and a pair of orthotics. Dr. Fjerstad knew she lied; otherwise why would he have mentioned my insurance during the 2 minute visit. He didn’t tell his billing office that I paid $180.00 when I picked up the orthotics.

The moral of the story is, don’t trust the doctor or his staff to tell the truth when it comes to money, call your insurance company yourself to get something pre-authorized.

I have been going to Expressions, and Carrie Dodson, has been doing my hair, for the past 20+ years. All I can say is she does an absolutely wonderful job. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional haircut. She always asks what I would like to see when I go for my appointment. She uses all the latest techniques (stones, and various Asian modalities) that insure when you leave, you will feel wonderful.
